Baby blanket made from a bridesmaid dress/ Bridesmaids dress /bridesmaid dress to blanket – mom to be gift keepsake blanket

Description

These are example of blankets I have made with bridesmaids dresses.

I can take your old bridesmaid dress that is just hang in your closet and make it into a beautiful patchwork blanket for the former bride and mother to be!

Things I will need to know before I start designing your keepsake blanket are as followed:

* When is the baby shower
* is there a color or theme picked for the nursery
* what color is the dress
* send picture of the dress

After I have that information we can start the design consultation and I will send you pictures of different fabrics you would like to make your blanket with.

When I get your dress I will get it prepped and ready to piece together with the fabrics you have chosen, I will then send you pictures of different layouts to pick from. After the front of the blanket is complete I add the soft minky back with the color of your choose.

Please be sure to wash the dress, or a piece of it to make sure it is suitable to be washed on a regular basis.

Three common size I make.

* Smaller size

30×30 inches is a great small floor play blanket.

* Baby size

30×40 is a perfect for a baby bed with no extra bulk. This size will lay on top of the bed without having to tuck the side and end down.

* Toddler/ small throw size

42×56 for toddler size or crib. This size is perfect for a toddler bed, it will hang off the sides over the mattress. This also fits a crib but the sides and end can be tuck down. It is also a small throw size blanket.

50×60 Throw size blanket.

* Matching Pillowcase cover

Add a matching throw size pillowcase over. Pillowcase cover would fit a 16×16 pillow insert (pillow inserts can be found at most craft stores). If you need a different size please leave a message in the comments when you order. They have a zipper closure at the bottom, the front will have the same design chosen for the blanket and the back will be the same color minky on the dress!!

Patchwork blanket has 2 layers

Once I get the dress it should only take about 2-3 weeks for the quilt or patchwork blanket to be made before it ships.

I also make crib/toddler sheets, I could make one with coordinating colors of your baby theme.
